Were seeking a talented Planner to join JP Transportation the core division driving Amazon Japans transportation network.
In this role at the heart of Amazon operations youll develop short to long-term transportation plans (next 3 weeks to up to next 3 years) using in-house tools and data analytics to optimize our rapidly growing network.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will lead the following areas:
Planning & Network Optimization
- Develop and present comprehensive transportation strategies across multiple time horizons (3 months to 3 years) to senior leadership
- Drive network optimization initiatives focusing on delivery performance speed and cost efficiency
-functional Leadership
- Drive collaboration with multiple internal leadership teams to create integrated transportation solutions
- Partner with global teams to identify and implement best practices and tools
- Manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives
Analytics & Performance Management
- Design and execute scenario-based analysis using advanced simulation tools
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and reporting frameworks
- Utilize data management systems (SQL Python Excel) to track and analyze operational metrics
Innovation
- Design and drive implementation of new processes to replace existing workflows
- Benchmark performance against global standards and adapt best practices for the Japanese market
