Job Summary

Join the EIRE Systems team of IT Infrastructure Project Managers Technical Coordinators and Design Engineers to deliver a variety of medium and large-scale IT infrastructure projects including new data center construction office design & builds re-locations migrations and network expansion/consolidation projects.

The SeniorICT Consultant provides technical advisory and design governance support for data center ICT infrastructure projects. The role ensures ICT solutions align with business requirements company standards operational needs and project objectives from design through handover.

This role is suited to a senior ICT consultant or data center technology specialist who can provide technical leadership design oversight and strategic advice across the full project lifecycle.

This is a Tokyo-based role requiring regular travel to other locations such as Osaka for build site inspections and project meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide ICT subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and validate ICT design requirements standards and performance targets.
Advise on connectivity redundancy scalability resilience and maintainability strategies.
Coordinate using Japanese with architecture MEP civil security and other project disciplines.
Review ICT designs and technical documentation for quality compliance and alignment with project goals.
Evaluate design options balancing cost risk operational effectiveness and maintainability.
Identify and manage ICT-related project risks and mitigation measures.
Support technical governance approvals RFIs design clarifications and issue resolution.
Advise on ICT procurement strategies tender scopes and critical equipment planning.
Support the handover planning by defining acceptance criteria commissioning expectations and operational readiness requirements.

Deliverables

ICT strategies standards and design guidance documents.
Design review comments and technical recommendations.
Governance and technical approval inputs.
Procurement and tender scope definitions including OFCI packages.
Responses to technical queries and design clarifications.
Commissioning acceptance and operational readiness criteria.
Handover and operational support requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with data center ICT infrastructure including networking telecommunications and structured cabling.
Knowledge of high-availability resilient and scalable ICT designs.
Experience in ICT design review technical governance procurement support and commissioning.
Ability to assess designs against operational cost risk and maintenance requirements.
Strong stakeholder management and experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
Skilled in risk assessment technical documentation review and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Japanese language skills for direct communication with Japanese construction partners and vendors.
(Nice to have) Project management skills and experience to apply industry standard methodologies and practices.
(Nice to have) Good understanding of ICT security particularly in relation to Datacenters
