This individual needs to be instrumental in providing guidance on future opportunities risks and global trends to the relevant business units. The individual must be able to develop and implement strategic initiatives have strong negotiations skills and executive level communication capabilities including presentation skills and keen email/conference call communication skills with counterparts in Europe US and Asia. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead strategic/critical contract negotiations working with senior management in the business unit and the relevant Global Supply Chain Representative Act as point of escalation for negotiation issues site supplier terms & conditions and price issues Support site supplier performance management utilizing the supplier scorecards Conduct periodic supplier business reviews for critical site suppliers Develop regional cost saving initiatives in alignment with business unit goals Participate in supplier selection and qualification process Assist with site Approved Supplier List (ASL) management. o Minimizes sole sources o Develops and implements business continuity plans for sole source suppliers o Maintain competitive supplier pool by equipment category. Support the implementation and training of procurement tools for the site buyers Formulate and facilitate equipment sourcing strategy and develop/maintain relationship with critical suppliers in the region Coordinate with counterparts in other regions for sourcing activities. Ensures regulatory compliance Performance management and develop a team of supply chain support practitioners Implementation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCOO) programs (analysis and verification) prior and post Capital Procurement. Job Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance Supply Chain Management or other closely related field An MBA or related advanced degree or coursework is preferred A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management Strong leadership negotiations and communication skills A demonstrated ability to build relationships horizontally and vertically within and outside of the company A demonstrated ability to think strategically and systematically. Proficiency in the following skills is required: Multi cultural communication (phone calls presentations and emails) consensus building leadership across multiple business units resourceful in resolving supply crisis situations and execution to scheduled/planned activities The following skills and competencies are strongly preferred: Proficient knowledge of Wafer Fab equipment Packaging equipment Test equipment IT (hardware & software) facility equipment service & maintenance. General facilities materials & services commodity experience. Experienced in sourcing outside of the respective region. Ability to conduct a financial benefit analysis factoring total cost of ownership contract negotiations contract management and value-based decision analysis. Fully competent in consensus building performance management team building resource planning and management. Able to demonstrate openness judgment and common sense developing a winning supplier strategy across multiple organizations systemic thinking and leadership. Demonstrates organizational values of integrity respect for people appreciation adherence to ethical standards teamwork innovation and continuous improvement.
