Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Division (BNSM) is seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive growth of our scientific instrumentation portfolio in Japan including AFM BioAFM nanoIR Nanoindentation WLI Dektak Filmtek and TMT. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies across academia government research institutes and industrial R&D customers. This role requires strong technical understanding customer engagement and collaboration with application scientists to deliver solutions to complex nanoscale characterization challenges.
Reporting to the Japan Sales Director the Sales Account Manager is responsible for the following essential functions and major responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned sales targets through direct sales and channel partners
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans for assigned territory
- Build and maintain a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline
- Develop relationships with customers including researchers engineers and decision-makers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts
- Lead technical sales activities including product demonstrations and sample testing in collaboration with application teams
- Organize and support marketing activities such as seminars workshops and exhibitions
- Understand market trends competitive landscape and research funding environment
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing applications and service
- Utilize Salesforce CRM for pipeline management and sales forecasting
To be successsful for this position you should possess the following:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelors degree or higher in science or engineering (physics chemistry materials science biology etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales or scientific instrumentation
- Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate complex concepts
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English
Preferred:
- Experience with nanoscale measurement technologies
- Sales experience in academia and R&D sectors
- Knowledge in semiconductor materials science or life science fields
