Production Executive, Amazon MGM Studios

We are seeking a seasoned production professional to join our Japan Production team overseeing content production and delivery with a primary focus on scripted this role you will manage multiple productions simultaneouslyensuring they are delivered on time on budget and at the highest creative and technical standards for Prime Videos global platform.

This position supports productions across multiple genres (scripted movies and unscripted). We are seeking a candidate whose primary experience is in scripted series with the willingness to learn workflows of other genres and manage projects across various formats with support from peer Production Executives. This position reports to the Head of Production & Post APAC International Originals.

Key job responsibilities
Oversee multiple projects across development production and post-production ensuring delivery milestones and quality standards are met
Lead budget and production meetings with show producers production managers and creative executives to review progress identify risks and drive solutions
Manage relationships with external production companies and vendors ensuring alignment on schedules deliverables and Amazons production standards
Coordinate with internal departments (creative marketing press business affairs legal and finance) to ensure cross-functional alignment on title delivery
Analyze budgets cost reports and financial variances; escalate issues and recommend corrective actions
Work with production companies on production scheduling on-set safety security insurance child labor compliance immigration visa and travel logistics
Attend set (domestic and international) as needed to evaluate workflow efficiency budget adherence and potential production issues
Collaborate with APAC regional peers to share best practices and maintain consistent production standards across territories
Identify opportunities to improve production workflows and implement process efficiencies

Our team oversees the end-to-end production lifecyclefrom development through post-productionacross scripted series movies and unscripted programming. We collaborate closely with Japans top creative talent production companies and internal partners to deliver world-class content for over 240 countries and territories.

- Speak write and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak write and read fluently in English
- 6 years of experience as a producer or production executive in scripted television or film
- Experience managing production budgets scheduling and cost reporting
- Experience overseeing multiple concurrent productions from development through delivery

- Experience working with international co-productions or global content platforms
- Knowledge of on-set safety protocols insurance requirements and compliance standards in Japan
