As part of the Operations Systems IT team youll play a key role in modernizing and improving the companys core insurance platforms by translating enterprise architecture into practical application solutions.

This role focuses on designing scalable application architecture improving system quality and driving technology modernization across mission-critical insurance platforms. Working closely with business stakeholders enterprise architects and implementation partners youll help shape the future of enterprise insurance systems.

Your Role and Responsibilities

This is an Application Architecture role rather than a hands-on software development successful candidate will bridge Enterprise Architecture and implementation teams by converting high-level architecture into practical deliverable application designs. Primary responsibility will be supporting the Policy Administration System (PAS) along with related platforms including Billing/Payments and Revenue Recognition systems.

Candidates with insurance industry experience (either in-house or through an SI/vendor) are highly preferred.

Strong SDLC knowledge enterprise application experience and stakeholder communication skills are essential.

Propose optimal application architecture solutions from an end-to-end system perspective.

Improve the quality scalability and maintainability of core insurance applications.

Support architecture governance and quality standards across multiple enterprise systems.

Design and enhance integrations between Policy Administration Systems (PAS) and related platforms.

Improve shared platform capabilities and common application functions.

Support development environment implementation and technical delivery.

Optimize production environments for performance reliability and scalability.

Collaborate with business stakeholders architects IT teams and implementation partners to deliver enterprise solutions.

Translate high-level enterprise architecture into practical application architecture that development vendors can successfully implement

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

10 years of experience in insurance technology enterprise applications or business transformation.

Proven experience delivering enterprise software solutions throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Strong understanding of application architecture system integration and enterprise application design.

Experience working with enterprise business applications and large-scale system modernization initiatives.

Understanding of insurance business processes or willingness to quickly learn insurance domain knowledge.

Native or advanced business-level Japanese and business-level English.

Strong communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
