Marketing Manager, Communications, Amazon Flex

Amazon Flex is seeking a motivated strategic and data-informed communications professional to join the JP Amazon Flex Communications team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the communications strategy for one of Amazons fastest-growing delivery programs in Japan and to have a direct impact on the experience of hundreds of thousands of delivery partners.

Amazon Flex enables individuals to earn by delivering packages using their own vehicles. The JP Flex Communications function owns how when and what reaches delivery partners shaping their experience behavior and engagement with the program across the full lifecycle from onboarding through activation engagement and retention.

As a Communications Strategist you will own the development and delivery of strategic communications at scale leveraging AI-powered content development tools to create high-quality strategically-aligned messaging across multiple communications channels. You will manage the full communications content lifecycle from strategic brief through to execution and partner cross-functionally to deliver communications that drive business outcomes.

You will work under the functional direction of the Communications Team Lead who sets the strategic framework prioritization and quality standards for all communications output. As a key partner to cross-functional teams you must demonstrate excellent judgment an ability to earn trust with various internal stakeholders and a willingness to dive deep into complex topics including regulatory compliance safety protocols and business expansion initiatives. Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute communications strategies across the delivery partner lifecycle onboarding activation engagement retention and business expansion
Own AI-powered communications development leveraging generative AI tools to draft refine and scale content while maintaining strategic quality and brand consistency
Manage end-to-end execution building testing scheduling and optimizing multi-channel communications
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop communications strategies for change management product launches and regulatory requirements
Own comms planning calendar management and enforce communication cadence standards to protect delivery partner experience
Monitor and optimize comms performance metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations
Ensure all communications meet governance and quality standards
Contribute to the development of AI content frameworks templates and best practices that scale communications quality and efficiency
Anticipate and manage potential communications risks including regulatory and compliance-sensitive messaging
Align on strategy prioritization and quality standards with the Communications Team Lead to ensure consistency across all outputs


- 4 years of recent professional experience in communications content strategy or marketing communications
- Experience with Marketo or equivalent marketing automation platforms
- Experience developing and executing multi-channel communications strategies
- Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal)
- Bachelors degree

- Experience with AI-powered content development or generative AI tools in a communications context
- Adobe Marketo certification
- Experience in gig economy logistics delivery or marketplace communications
- Experience with change management communications across large-scale operations
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical operational and compliance teams
- Experience in a governance or quality assurance role for communications
- Data fluency - ability to interpret performance metrics and translate into strategic recommendations
