We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Language Specialist to join our team with a focus on the Japanese and English this role you will be responsible for reviewing language assets logic and coherence grammar and punctuation spelling consistency style language usage and formatting improving customer streaming experience with Amazon language solutions and process-centered approaches. Tasks may include but are not limited to proofreading and editing AI generated contents.
Key job responsibilities
- Review AI-generated localized content including subtitles dubbed audio metadata and artwork to identify errors in translation accuracy linguistic quality and cultural appropriateness.
- Assist in the development and implementation of language-related technology/products to ensure consistency and quality of Japanese and English language services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand language requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends best practices and technological advancements in the field of language services particularly related to the streaming and entertainment industry.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of language processes and workflows to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organizations Japanese and English language capabilities.
- Provide guidance and training to other team members on Japanese and English language-related matters sharing your expertise and knowledge.
- Speak write and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak write and read fluently in English
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make complex investigative decisions with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering high-quality Japanese English language services including translation interpretation and linguistic support
- Passion for the media and entertainment industry particularly streaming services
- Translation experience across a wide array of formats including documents timed text and metadata while preserving the original meaning style and tone
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make complex investigative decisions independently
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with project managers auditors and subject matter experts to clarify context and resolve queries
