Position: Kadena Engineering Technician / Facilities Assessor
Location: Kadena Air Base Okinawa

Eligibility:
Must be a Japanese citizen SOFA military dependent or resident with visa status that allows work in Japan.
Japanese and American applicants are welcome to apply.

The Engineering Technician / Facilities Assessor will support a U.S. military housing structural assessment project by conducting detailed visual inspections of family housing units across Okinawa. Responsibilities include documenting observable deficiencies such as spalling cracking moisture intrusion or other visible deterioration of roofs ceilings walls interior finishes and exterior building components.

The technician will collect photographic and written data complete standardized assessment forms and ensure all findings are submitted accurately and promptly for quality control and reporting. Work will be performed in both occupied and vacant units with coordination through housing office liaisons.

Technicians must follow established safety procedures wear proper PPE and communicate professionally with residents and team members.

Qualifications:
Prior facilities assessment or construction inspection experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Familiarity with digital field data collection (forms photography)
Ability to work on ladders in attics and under eaves
U.S. base access preferred or ability to pass background screening

技術者は写真および文章によるデータの収集標準化された評価フォームの記入品質管理および報告のために調査結果を正確かつ迅速に提出します業務は入居中および空室の住宅ユニットで行われ住宅担当窓口との調整を行いながら進めます

技術者は安全手順に従って適切な保護具PPEを着用し居住者およびチームメンバーと専門的にコミュニケーションをとる必要があります

高い注意力と自立して作業できる能力
デジタルフォームや写真による現場データ収集の経験
はしご屋根裏軒下での作業が可能な方
