Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Tokyo this pivotal role you will oversee the daily housekeeping operations across assigned guestroom floors ensuring exceptional cleanliness presentation and guest satisfaction. You will lead mentor and inspire a team of Room Attendants and Housemen while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.   • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across assigned guestroom floors ensuring seamless execution and consistent quality
  • Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of guest rooms to verify adherence to brand standards and organizational policies
  • Monitor guide and support Room Attendants and Housemen in their daily duties providing constructive feedback and coaching to maintain efficiency and quality standards
  • Respond promptly and empathetically to guest requests and special instructions ensuring all preferences are documented and followed with precision
  • Train develop and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques health and safety protocols grooming standards and customer service excellence
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of linens amenities and cleaning supplies coordinating with procurement to prevent shortages and optimize resource utilization
  • Identify document and follow up on maintenance issues room discrepancies and equipment concerns collaborating with Engineering and Front Office teams for timely resolution
  • Enforce proper use care and storage of housekeeping equipment and supplies promoting a culture of responsibility and sustainability
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Front Office Engineering and other departments to ensure smooth room operations and efficient maintenance follow-ups
  • Assist in planning staff schedules task assignments and workload distribution to optimize productivity and team morale
  • Analyze performance metrics and quality standards implementing improvements and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Foster an inclusive supportive team environment that celebrates diversity and encourages open communication and collaboration

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 23 years of hands-on housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality setting
  • At least 1 year of proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a housekeeping department
  • Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping procedures advanced cleaning techniques and international hygiene standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Japanese is highly preferred
  • Strong proficiency with housekeeping management software and basic Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards consistently
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities with experience in staff training and performance development
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive solution-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work flexibly including early mornings evenings and weekends as required by hotel operations
  • Cultural awareness and adaptability to work effectively in a multicultural international environment
  • Physical capability to perform housekeeping duties and walk assigned areas regularly
  • Resilience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic hospitality environment
  • Preferred: Experience in Japanese hospitality standards and understanding of Japanese guest service expectations
  • Preferred: Additional language proficiency beyond English and Japanese
