Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Job Grade: 13

Job Summary

• Lead financial forecasting and analysis informing senior management on company performance and guiding strategic decisions.

• Understand the business strategy and provide highly relevant insights into business performance.

• Act as a business partner to the Marketing and Customer Service and Logistics teams to drive efficiencies and profitability

• Ensure appropriate financial control over management reporting and alignment with corporate policies and strategies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the creation analysis and review of forecasts budgets and financial models for strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with commercial and regional/division teams to ensure financial strategies align with global and regional business objectives.

• Act as a key stakeholder in the decision making process through the provision of risk-adjusted financial information and analysis.

• Ensure solid understanding of internal commitments and the external environment identifying gaps risks and opportunities and proposing sustainable solutions

• Focus on monitoring and evaluating brands financial health to strategically guide and set targets within the commercial planning process

• Develop communicate and monitor financial KPIs to ensure projected profit targets by brand are achieved;

• Provide action-oriented reporting to the Commercial and Leadership Teams

• Provide analytics to support budget reviews

• Engage with departments to consolidate budgets enhancing governance and strategic resource allocation.

Education/Experience Requirements

• College Degree (BS - Business/Finance)

• Finance Experience (5 years)

• Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal relationships

• Have a detailed understanding of financial analysis and business analysis processes.

• Systems Experience (SAP Preferred Domo Sigma Snowflake)

• Computer Skills (Excel Googlesheets Big Query)

• Demonstrated strong oral / written communications skills in Japanese and English including presentation skills.

• Strong strategic / analytical skills.

Reports to: Sr Director Finance Hills Colgate Japan Finance
Work Location: Tokyo Office (MonThur) Remote(Fri acceptable)
Direct Reports: 1 Temporary BP Staff
Travel Requirement: Domestic travel ( 2 to 3 times per year)

Come to office during the 1st week of January for year end closing
