We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a leading semiconductor manufacturing project in this role you will be responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of large-scale industrial equipment ensuring optimal system performance and minimal downtime.
Work Place: Hokkaido Japan
Work Style: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Perform on-site installation servicing modification and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Conduct diagnostics troubleshooting preventive maintenance and system repairs.
Maintain accurate service records and technical reports.
Coordinate with team members supervisors and customers to minimize equipment downtime.
Order replace and install equipment parts as needed.
Respond to emergency service calls and work flexible shifts including weekends when required.
Provide operational and maintenance training to customer technicians.
Execute equipment upgrades and modifications as necessary.
Stay updated on tools and equipment through training manuals and technical resources.
Follow standard procedures to analyze issues and implement effective solutions
Ensure proper use maintenance and security of company assets (e.g. tools vehicles)
Maintain professional conduct and compliance with on-site standards and policies.
Communicate effectively with customers to understand needs and resolve issues.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Collaborate in a team-oriented environment to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Adhere strictly to workplace safety standards and practices.
Handle engineering change requests (ECO) efficiently and maintain composure under pressure.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
Basic understanding of the semiconductor industry.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.

Ability to follow detailed instructions in English accurately and consistently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules when required.
High level of professionalism reliability and adaptability.
Cleanroom training and basic industry safety knowledge (preferred or to be acquired).
Japanese N2 or N3 level (Must) English (intermediate-business level).
