English Teacher

A nursery school network is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher to work with young children at its schools in Kyoto and Shiga Japan.

This position is ideal for a teacher who enjoys early childhood education and can make English engaging through songs games stories movement and age-appropriate activities.

Position Details

• Location: Kyoto and Shiga Japan
• Salary: per month
• Employment type: Full-time
• Schedule: MondayFriday
• Saturday work: Generally not required except for occasional events or training
• Students: Nursery and early childhood learners
• Experience: Teaching experience preferred
• Education: Bachelors degree

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons to young children.
• Introduce English through songs games stories and interactive activities.
• Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
• Visit smaller nursery schools approximately once per week when scheduled.
• Plan lessons and activities suitable for early childhood learners.
• Participate in monthly teacher meetings.
• Exchange teaching ideas and coordinate activities with other English teachers.
• Support school events and occasional training sessions.

Requirements

• Native-level English ability
• Bachelors degree
• Must currently reside in Japan
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
• Reliable energetic and comfortable working collaboratively
• Previous teaching experience is preferred
• Japanese fluency is not required
