As Japan accelerates its energy transition we are looking for an entrepreneurial Country Manager to champion our clients strategic entry and full-cycle business growth in Japan.

As the Country Manager for Japan you will be the face of our clients business in the region holding ultimate accountability for market success PL and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Market Pioneer: Architect and execute the companys market entry strategy scaling business operations and driving revenue growth across Japan.
  • Alliance Builder: Cultivate and leverage high-level relationships with major Japanese utilities grid operators IPPs and key regulatory bodies.
  • Solution Champion: Introduce and deploy the companys cutting-edge portfolio including utility-scale solar and wind solutions advanced energy storage systems (BESS) smart grids and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Global Liaison: Partner closely with global HQ to ensure seamless product localization competitive pricing strategies and absolute compliance with Japanese industrial and electrical standards.
  • Industry Voice: Represent the business as the chief corporate ambassador at major national energy summits exhibitions and executive-level negotiations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8 years of proven success in business development sales or country-level management within Japans energy or power systems infrastructure.
  • Network and Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Japans utility ecosystem regulatory frameworks and market dynamics. A strong existing network of energy stakeholders is highly valued.
  • Deal Maker: A documented track record of successfully negotiating and closing high-value large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy contracts.
  • Languages: Fluent Japanese and professional proficiency in English are required for HQ collaboration.
  • Location: Based in or open to relocation to major Japanese hubs.
  • Mindset: An entrepreneurial championthriving in agile fast-paced and cross-cultural environments.
