The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Service is a trusted lifecycle partner providing customers with secure sustainable and innovative service solutions globally.
Our Service offerings empower customers & partners to holistically manage the asset lifecyclefrom start-of-life (e.g. Install & Commission) through services designed to strengthen operational-life (e.g. Upgrade Repair & Extend) to end-of-life activities (e.g. Replace & Decommission).

How youll make an impact

1. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for defined material groups within the service business unit to achieve availability on time cost savings quality and service level objectives.

2. You will lead the procurement process for defined material groups including identifying and selecting and developing suppliers negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.

3. You will manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery quality and compliance with contractual terms.

4. You will conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential risks.

5. Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering quality and project management to ensure procurement activities align with business requirements.

6. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

7. You will ensure compliance with Hitachi Power Grids policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations.

8. Living Hitachi energys core values of safety and integrity which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

1. Degree/masters required: bachelors degree or above or equivalent in Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.

2. Years of experience required: more than 3 years of working experience.

3. Proficiency in languages: English & Japanese other of advantage.
