Role Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for originating developing and advancing renewable energy projects from initial opportunity identification through to construction readiness. The role focuses on building a high-quality project pipeline securing commercial opportunities managing stakeholder relationships and leading project development activities including permitting land acquisition grid interconnection environmental assessments and commercial negotiations.

Working closely with cross-functional teams including Project Integration Supply Chain Engineering Finance and Legal the incumbent ensures projects progress efficiently through internal governance financing and approval processes while meeting quality compliance and contractual requirements. This role plays a critical part in delivering sustainable business growth by transforming development opportunities into commercially viable renewable energy assets.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop strong pipeline of large scale solar stand alone BESS onshore wind projects.
• Developing new projects opportunities and seeking approval for controlled pipelines.
• Lead project development process including different permits for land interconnection environment assessment for the projects to achieve construction conditions.
• Negotiate with partners for best business outcomes; always protecting the organizations interests.
• Support in administering deals across all stages from proposal to construction.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance in the preparation and submission of tender and contract documents.
• Collaborate with customers and internal Project Integration team to align project timelines; including working with internal Supply Chain team on procurement and deployment of materials/ equipment to optimize business results.
• Review project requirements e.g. capital planning and funding project registration project financing including but not limited to internal approval processes such as credit information and contracts as required by the company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering Business Finance or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience with understanding of solar project technical evaluation
• Display good knowledge of the renewable (solar or wind) business regulations and trends/ industry practices including understanding of energy and environmental issues.
• Understand financial modeling and commercial activities such as funding arrangements and legal requirements.
• Experience in projects or business structuring for renewable business will be advantageous.
• Ability to manage project development process with various stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
