Job Summary

AIST is a horizontal department with expertise in leading-edge technologies such as AI Cloud Commerce CMS Digital Marketing and Modernization. The team supports multiple business units and also independently manages customer engagements across Japan.

About the Position:
This is a new opportunity for an AMS project involving the transition of applications from incumbent vendors. The role is responsible for planning leading and executing end-to-end transition activities to ensure a smooth handover of AMS services from the incumbent/vendor to the delivery teams with minimal business disruption and readiness for steady-state operations.

The client is a prestigious global manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage end-to-end transition activities for AMS services.
  • Lead transition teams across onsite and offshore locations.
  • Coordinate due diligence and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and governance throughout the transition lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate transition risks and issues.
  • Ensure proper handover to Delivery and Service Delivery Management teams.
  • Validate documentation completeness SLA readiness and operational processes.
  • Ensure readiness for steady-state operations after transition completion.

Required Skills
  • 10-18 years of IT experience with a strong transition and delivery background.
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • AMS transitions
    • Due diligence activities
    • Knowledge Transfer (KT) processes
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management.
  • Expertise in program governance and risk management.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Japanese language skills are required to understand existing system specifications and design documents.
  • English language skills are required to communicate with offshore teams.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Location:
  • Tokyo
  • Work location will be either at the company office or customer site.
  • Hybrid working style with approximately 2-3 days per week at the office or customer location.
