- 日本のオペレーションが計画する中期および年次計画に基づいてフルフィルメントセンターおよびソートセンターの立ち上げを実現すること
- 設備の技術問題に対して重大性や影響度を迅速かつ正確に捉え状況に応じて安全日程品質コストの全体最適となるソリューションを提案し解決させること
- 既存のコミュニケーションチャネルとワークプロセスの更なる改善を行い社内外のステークホルダーとの信頼関係を構築しながらコンフリクトを解消し合意形成に結び付けるようマネージすること
- グローバルのエンジニアリングチームと連携し最先端の設備や業務プロセスを日本に導入して入出荷能力の向上や業務効率化を図ることまた日本のベストプラクティスはグローバルへ提案し標準化すること

Amazon Japan is seeking an Advanced Engineer to manage the construction of the material handling equipment and automation equipment verify the operational capability and start up the new sort center that handles middle mile delivery. This position will demonstrate technical leadership while working and growing with Amazons global team and domestic and international suppliers to maximize facility and process capability and quality while maintaining safety and cost addition we propose optimal solutions for new technical issues that arise with the introduction of state-of-the-art transportation equipment including automation. By guiding them we will successfully launch a new sort center and contribute to shortening lead times and reducing transportation costs for products delivered to Japanese addition by teaching a wide range of technical skills and empirical knowledge we will raise the technical skills of the entire team and furthermore we will contribute to the scale-up of technology by leading to the standardization of equipment specifications and business processes.
The following are the main duties.
- Realize the launch of fulfillment centers and sort centers based on the mid-term and annual plans planned by the Japanese operations.
- Quickly and accurately grasp the severity and impact of technical problems with equipment and propose and resolve solutions that optimize overall safety schedule quality and cost depending on the situation.
- Further improve existing communication channels and work processes build relationships of trust with internal and external stakeholders resolve conflicts and manage to build consensus.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and introduce new technology and processes to Japan to improve shipping and receiving capabilities and improve business addition Japans best practices should be proposed globally and standardized.
- In addition to collaborating with partner companies in Japan and overseas continuously improve the capabilities of these partner companies and promote improvements in safety and quality as well as cost reductions.
- According to safety standards and engineering guidelines create a mechanism through the creation of standard work etc. and realize a safe workplace.

- Lead the installation of material handling and various automated equipment commissioning tests and acceptance inspection processes and launch new fulfillment centers and sort centers.
- Resolve conflicts after considering overall optimization while building trusting relationships with Amazon internal stakeholders and external vendors and lead the project in a short period of time with high quality and low cost.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to introduce new safety and quality management processes or standards to Japan and propose and deploy the best practices in Japan to global teams.
- Dive deep on technical details to identify and solve the technical problems and to build a mechanism or standard that leads to recurrence prevention.
- Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to procurement and other business partners for best value and competition.

A day in the life
Deployment Lead として一週間に 34 日を工事中のサイトで勤務し安全のオーディットをリードし各ベンダーや他部署にまたがる複雑な技術課題の解決をリードしますグローバルチームメンバーと協業しながら業務プロセスや標準の改善に向けてドキュメントを作成し提案実行します業務を進めるうえで何か迷うことがあればチャットや F2F の会話を通して気軽に相談しながらチーム全体でサポートし合いますフレックスが基本ですが原則 18 時以降は会議やメールは行いません有給休暇の取得率も高く長期休暇ももちろん取得可能です

A deployment lead works 3 to 4 days a week at a site under construction leading safety audits and solving complex technical issues that cross vendors and other departments. Propose and implement documents to improve work processes and standards while collaborating with global team. If they have any questions while working feel free
to consult other members through chat or F2F conversations and the entire team will support each other. Flextime is the norm and generally there are no meetings or emails after 6pm. We have a high rate of paid vacations and of course they can take long vacations.

About the team

There are 11 members in the team and in order to launch 2 to 4 sites per year a project manager and 3 construction managers per site will lead the project from the start of construction to go live. Team members have various backgrounds ranging from mechanical and electrical engineering to architectural design but through regular team meetings and on-site reviews they share their knowledge and experience and engage in open
discussions. By doing so we aim to grow as a team while improving individual skills.

- Experience in analyzing the causes of equipment quality problems and taking countermeasures as well as systematizing and building mechanisms to prevent recurrence
- Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings
- Comfort working as both part of a team and/or entirely as an independent performer
