Who are we looking for

We are looking for a (Junior) Communication Officer to join the WOWnature team with a specific focus on supporting our B2B partner companies that choose to fund WOWnature reforestation projects to achieve their environmental and social responsibility goals. This person will support WOWnatures communication activities and help accompany companies along their journey ensuring their commitment to nature is communicated in a clear transparent and effective way.

Role and responsibilities

Support to partner companies (B2B)

• Support WOWnature partner companies throughout their customer journey with particular attention to communication aspects related to the reforestation projects they support. Contribute to the creation and adaptation of communication materials (texts visuals digital content) that help companies communicate their environmental and social commitment clearly and credibly.
• Apply a basic understanding of greenwashing risks helping promote responsible accurate and transparent sustainability communication.

WOWnature communication

• Contribute to the development of the editorial plan for WOWnatures social media channels focusing on relevant contents for the B2B target in line with the brands communication and marketing strategy.
• Create textual and multimedia content for communication channels (social media website newsletters event materials).
• Support social media management and engagement activities.

Organization of forest planting events

• Support the organization of tree-planting events and forest activities involving individuals companies and organizations.
• Contribute to the definition and scheduling of event dates in coordination with the team.
• Provide communication support for event promotion and for managing registrations of both private participants and company representatives (invitations information materials follow-up).
• Collaborate on the logistical and operational organization of events together with the team.

This role includes travel and activities during weekends (with days off provided in compensation). Flexibility in working hours and a valid drivers license are required.

Education

We require a degree in communication or marketing. Environmental/natural sciences forestry or training related to the sustainability sector will be considered a plus.

Experience

There is no minimum experience required for this role. However if you have one or more years of work experience (or relevant personal projects) in this field this will be a plus.

Required skills

Technical skills

• Excellent command of the Italian language both written and spoken with strong knowledge of online and offline writing techniques
• Good knowledge of English. Official certifications are not required; however language proficiency will be assessed during the interview. Only candidates with a B2 level or higher will be considered
• Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva)
• Good understanding of the basic concepts and terminology of marketing and communication and greenwashing
• Good understanding and practical knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g. Facebook LinkedIn Instagram TikTok YouTube)
• Knowledge of sustainability-related topics and familiarity with best practices in corporate sustainability communication

Transversal skills

• Strong organizational skills precision and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with different roles.
• Proactivity creativity and a problem-solving mindset.
• Positive attitude and care in communication with colleagues partners and event participants.

Work Location: Etifors office in Padua at Piazza Alcide de Gasperi No. 41. We have a super-flexible smartworking policy!

Contract Type: Full-time (CCNL Commercio IV livello tempo determinato).

Salary range: yearly.
