Role description:
As a Sustainability Consultant Intern you will be a fundamental resource for Arcadis economic and reputational development. You will be involved in innovative projects supporting the Smart Sustainable Buildings division in managing projects clients and initiatives. You will be also involved in sustainability management practices together with other professionals from all over the world with the possibility of working alongside important international companies.
During your internship you will be supported with the aim of gaining practical experience on the main technologies related to energy efficiency in the industrial and tertiary sectors.
Role accountabilities:
The ideal candidate will support the Sustainability team in carrying out the following activities:
- Carry out field visits and surveys throughout the national territory.
- Carry out feasibility studies according to energy-environmental protocols;
- Application of European protocols in the energy sector such as: CRREM and EU Taxonomy;
- Implementation of green assessment with particular focus on LEED / BREEAM protocols applied to real estate assets;
- Work on sustainability and circular economy services;
- Collaborate with your colleagues of inter-disciplinary teams for technical due diligence and design assessments
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Mechanical Electrical Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- LEED/BREEAM certifications will be considered a plus;
- A previous experience in the field will be considered a plus;
- Excellent proficiency in English (C1) and Italian (B2)
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy landscape including sourcing market-based instruments pricing models and benefits of different energy generation methods.
- Excellent ability in analysis and synthesis.
- ability to build calculation models and economic models;
- Ability in managing energy modelling with softwares such as IES Termolog.
- Understanding of LCA methods according to energy-environmental protocols
Academical knowledge of:
- Fluid dynamics;
- Mechanical and electrical systems;
- Automation and control;
- Regulations in force in terms of energy efficiency
- Refrigeration systems;

The annual salary range for this position is 600 - 850 net/monthly
