Supervisor, Early Pharmaceutics
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor Early Pharmaceutics to support the successful delivery of formulation development activities while leading laboratory operations and supporting the growth of a talented scientific team.
This role is ideal for someone who combines basic knowledge with excellent operational management and a passion for creating a safe collaborative and high-performing laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day laboratory activities for assigned formulation projects providing guidance and support to scientists to ensure high-quality scientific delivery.
Provide technical and operational support to Research Experts and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards.
Supervise project scope changes resource requirements workload planning and tracking of project activities.
Support project management activities including budget tracking forecasting status reporting and delivery updates.
Ensure laboratory practices comply with SOPs quality standards IOPs and Health & Safety requirements.
Promote safe efficient and compliant laboratory operations.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance laboratory processes and ways of working.
Support team development through regular coaching feedback and development discussions.
Coordinate workload prioritisation and resource planning to support business and project needs.
Act as a point of support for resolving laboratory project delivery and operational challenges.

Key Skills & Experience:
MSc (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Sciences Pharmacy Drug Delivery or a related discipline.
56 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience preferably in early formulation development or preclinical/analytical development.
Experience managing or supervising laboratory teams.
Experience supporting project delivery resource planning and laboratory operations.
Excellent communication organisation and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced scientific environment.
Experience with budget tracking forecasting or financial awareness would be advantageous.
Commitment to continuous improvement scientific excellence and developing people.
Languages
Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
Additional languages (Italian German or French) are considered an advantage.
