At ORiS we are building the technologies that will power the next generation of space missions. Through laser-based wireless power transmission we aim to overcome the energy limitations of todays satellites and enable longer more capable and more resilient operations in orbit.
We are looking for a Space Electronics Engineer to support the development of electronic systems for ORiSs inter-satellite wireless power transmission mission.
Working closely with the Lead Electronic Engineer you will contribute to the design development integration and testing of electronic boards and subsystems including power distribution laser control sensing data acquisition actuator interfaces and onboard communications.
This is a hands-on role covering the full hardware development cycle from requirements analysis and schematic design to PCB layout prototyping debugging verification and integration with the spacecrafts other subsystems.
What You Will Do
Design of the electrical schematics and PCB layout
Design electrical schematics and PCB layouts for power control sensing data acquisition and communication electronics
Develop and integrate electronic interfaces for laser sources pointing mechanisms sensors actuators onboard computers and spacecraft power systems
Translate subsystem requirements and interface definitions into reliable board-level designs
Select and evaluate EEE components considering electrical performance reliability thermal constraints radiation and space qualification requirements
Assemble debug and test electronic boards and integrated subsystems using laboratory instrumentation
Prepare and execute test plans procedures and verification activities
Support hardware integration environmental testing qualification and preparation of flight hardware
What We Are Looking For
Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the aerospace industry
Hands-on proactive and results-driven approach
Analytical mind and problem-solving as well as a continuous learning attitude
Strong knowledge in Designing schematics especially power electronics circuits
Very good knowledge of complex PCB layout design
Proficiency in Altium Designer
Extensive knowledge of laboratory instruments
Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements
Ability to manage multiple projects
Professional proficiency in English
Nice to Have
Previous experience in space projects compliant with ECSS/MIL
Knowledge of electronic FMEA and FTA
Experience in EMC qualification
