At Baxter every line of code has the potential to improve lives. As a Senior Software Engineer youll help build and enhance software solutions that power connected medical devices and digital healthcare products used by clinicians and patients worldwide.

In this role you will work across the full software development lifecycle collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality secure and reliable applications that positively impact patient care and healthcare professionals worldwide.

• Develop enhance and maintain software applications for medical and connectivity solutions that enable healthcare professionals to deliver safer more effective patient care.
• Transform product requirements into high-quality scalable solutions improving the performance and reliability of connected medical technologies.
• Create and implement unit tests ensuring robust and reliable software performance.
• Partnering with Verification and Quality teams investigate complex software issues identify root causes and implement improvements that strengthen product reliability and user experience.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define software requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through modern development practices automation and CI/CD methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal partners including Service and Marketing teams.

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong fixing debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative development-focused approach.

• Git and modern version control practices.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Software security standards.
• Networking concepts and relational databases.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of the following areas:
  • Frontend: React JavaScript / TypeScript HTML5 CSS3
  • Backend: C# .NET Framework /.NET Core
  • Mobile: Java; Kotlin

• Experience within Medical Devices Healthcare or Life Sciences.
• Exposure to regulated environments and quality standards.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter we are committed to equitable pay for all employees and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is 41.600 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills expertise experience and other relevant factors all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits and incentives.
