The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and commercially driven Sales Representative Project Cargo Logistics (MPL) to join our team in Italy.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying developing and growing Project Logistics opportunities across key industrial sectors. You will engage with customers managing complex cargo movements oversized freight and project-based supply chain solutions positioning Maersk as a trusted logistics partner.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across our integrated logistics network to deliver tailored solutions that create value for our customers and support Maersks growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities within the Project Logistics and Industrial customer segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand customer supply chain challenges and propose innovative Project Logistics solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with product operations and customer experience teams to deliver exceptional service.
  • Drive pipeline generation and maintain a healthy sales funnel through proactive customer engagement.
  • Identify market trends customer needs and competitive opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management within CRM tools.
  • Contribute to the achievement of country sales targets and business growth objectives.
  • Participate in customer visits industry events and networking activities to strengthen Maersks market presence.

We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in B2B sales within logistics freight forwarding transportation project cargo or supply chain management.
  • Understanding of Project Logistics heavy lift breakbulk industrial logistics or complex transportation solutions is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent relationship-building negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term customer partnerships.
  • Self-motivated results-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using CRM tools and managing sales pipelines.
  • Fluent in Italian and English both written and spoken.
