Job Description Summary
As Plant FLIGHT DECK Leader you will serve as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager leading the deployment and application of the FLIGHT DECK operating method across the site. You will be responsible for driving lean process integration in line with business priorities while ensuring full alignment with FLIGHT DECK standards and principles.
You will operate in a high-visibility environment reporting hierarchically to Plant Manager and will coordinate a team of lean specialists.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to define prioritize and execute the plant transformation and business improvement roadmap.
  • Ensure Plant and Business Unit initiatives are aligned with Avio Aero FLIGHT DECK strategy standards and guidelines.
  • Build the capability of the direct team and the broader dotted-line plant organization through coaching technical development and structured growth plans.
  • Lead the deployment and sustained adoption of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals across plant processes and teams.
  • Foster a sustainable mindset shift toward continuous improvement and operational excellence through the FLIGHT DECK framework and Avio Aero strategy.
  • Champion a culture of problem solving aligned with SQDC priorities.
  • Monitor with relevant stakeholders the impact of transformation initiatives on customer satisfaction and key business performance indicators.
  • Enable the sharing and scaling of successful practices between the central FLIGHT DECK team and the plant.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Masters degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience in Engineering Operations Manufacturing or Supply Chain.

  • Proven track record in Operational Excellence Lean Management or Continuous Improvement roles.

  • Strong expertise and proven technical expertise in Lean tools and methodologies such as Kaizen Value Stream Mapping 5S Kanban Material Flow JIS/JIT Techniques Jidoka Problem Solving and Daily Management Systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across matrix organizations.

  • Strong presence and credibility to advise and influence senior leaders and managers.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix and dual-reporting environment.

  • Strong facilitation coaching teaching and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect improvement actions to SQDC priorities and business outcomes.

  • Work Visa in accordance with local regulations is required.

Contract Level: CCNL metalmeccanico Level A1

Salary range for this role: 69600 - 92800 EUR Annual Performance-related bonus PDR up to 6000 euro
Compensation will be defined within the published salary range reflecting the candidates experience developed skills and overall alignment with the roles responsibilities.
