Job Purpose

The Mechanical Supervisor will supervise structural and piping construction activities at site ensuring that fabrication installation and mechanical works are carried out according to project drawings specifications quality requirements and construction schedule.

The role requires a strong practical background in both piping and structural works with the ability to coordinate site teams and resolve construction issues directly in the field.

Main Responsibilities

• Supervise piping and structural fabrication assembly and installation activities.

• Coordinate daily construction activities with contractors foremen and site personnel.

• Ensure works are performed according to approved drawings isometrics specifications and project procedures.

• Monitor piping installation supports equipment connections tie-ins and related mechanical activities.

• Supervise structural steel erection modification and installation works.

• Review construction drawings piping isometrics and 3D models as required.

• Identify site problems and coordinate necessary field modifications.

• Support preparation and completion of piping test packs.

• Coordinate hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.

• Inspect piping circuits before testing and mechanical completion.

• Support punch-list clearance and completion activities.

• Coordinate with Engineering QA/QC Commissioning and other site disciplines.

• Monitor work progress and report construction status and any delays or technical issues.

• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities when required.

• Ensure proper coordination between structural and piping activities in the assigned work areas.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in mechanical construction within Oil & Gas Petrochemical Refinery Power Plant or similar industrial projects.

• Strong practical experience as Piping Supervisor Mechanical Supervisor Piping Superintendent or Structural/Piping Supervisor.

• Proven knowledge of both piping and structural construction activities.

• Strong experience with piping fabrication installation tie-ins supports and mechanical completion.

• Experience with structural steel fabrication and erection.

• Good knowledge of piping isometric drawings and construction drawings.

• Experience with test packs hydrotesting and pneumatic testing.

• Experience supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

• Ability to identify and manage field modifications and as-built changes.

• Previous experience working directly at construction sites.

• Italian language required.

• Working knowledge of English is preferred.
