Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout Mechanica Sistemis warehouse stockroom and production areas. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager this role ensures that components and supplies are correctly received labeled stored and delivered to the appropriate teams in support of ongoing manufacturing and project activities.

Key Responsibilities

Material Movement & Delivery

  • Transport materials between warehouse production and assembly areas.
  • Load and unload trucks ensuring materials are handled carefully.
  • Deliver materials to the correct departments based on work orders.

Storage & Organization

  • Store materials in designated locations according to inventory guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout.
  • Assist in labeling and organizing stock for easy identification.

Inventory Support

  • Assist with physical stock counts and cycle counts.
  • Report damaged or missing materials to the warehouse manager.

Safety & Compliance

  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts pallet jacks) safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with warehouse staff production teams and procurement to meet material needs.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing shipments when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
  • Forklift license or certification preferred.
  • Understanding of safety practices for material handling.

Technical Skills

  • Operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Basic inventory handling and tracking.
  • Safe lifting and transportation techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for material movement logging.
