Lead Configuration Specialist
Job Summary
On the Central Engineering Team we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to drive operational excellence and engineering efficiency within our shop this role you will be responsible for streamlining process improvements managing engineering standardization and overseeing Repair Bills of Materials (RBOM) effectiveness in the shops. You will serve as a key bridge between engineering digital technology (DT) and shop operations ensuring technical solutions are effectively implemented to monitor scrap rates optimize engine configuration management and support the successful rollout of new initiatives.
The Lead Configurator Specialist key responsibilities are:
- Track RBOM deployment and shop effectiness in the shop by tracking
- Lead scrap rate analysis process improvement and coodination with DT on trend monitoring rules
- Own policy and work scope engineering standardization schedule and plan for implementation
- Support fleet managers on Service Bulletin implementation and shop operationalization.
- Support technical part solutioning process on part-deep dives on scrap reasons
- Partner with DT on engineering tool improvement to support shop operations
- Support configuration management process for repaired engines and modules
- Manage the overall schedule for new RBOM development (LM100 LM9000)
- Support standardization of routings and the group and task level in RouterScope
Qualifications/requirements
- Degree in Engineering or 5 years of experience work experience in repair and overhaul environment.
- At least five years of experience in manufacturing or repair and overhaul environment with one or more of the following turbo-machinery: Aeroderivative gas turbine Heavy Duty gas turbines;
- Working experience with Excel Tableau Smartsheet and other digital tools
- Strong Program/Project management skills
- Working experience with Aero policies (O&M IPB IRM) and internal documents SPL/ IRD
- Familiar with BH/GE repair business
- Capability and experience to work with local and remote resources merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time;
