JOB TITLE: Integration Services Lead

DURATION: 11 Months

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Technology Division (TEC) is advancing a strategic digital transformation initiative to modernize integrate and evolve its corporate digital solutions ecosystem. Central to this transformation is the Integration Services Team a cross-cutting capability within TECD responsible for ensuring that WFPs growing portfolio of digital solutions integrates as a coherent interoperable and enterprise-grade landscape.

The Integration Services Team enables and governs the Enterprise Integration Hub a practice that spans across three strategic pillars: API Integrations Custom Integrations and AI Integrations. These key capabilities compose the full spectrum of WFP system interconnection needs.

The Integration Services Lead will serve as the strategic and operational point of reference for the entire Integration Services (and the EIH). The incumbent will be responsible for shaping the vision standards and methodologies that govern how WFPs digital solutions interconnect ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and the broader digital transformation roadmap. This is a senior advisory and coordination role that requires a combination of deep technical expertise strategic thinking and the ability to influence and guide multidisciplinary teams across the organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Chief of TECD and the functional guidance of the Director of Information Technology the Integration Services Lead will be responsible for the following:

Strategic Leadership and Practice Governance

  • Define and drive the strategic vision roadmap and maturity model for the Integration Services practice across the organization;
  • Coordinate and supervise the Integration Services team members (internal staff and vendor resources) ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and quality standards;
  • Establish and enforce integration design principles patterns and standards (synchronous asynchronous event-driven) to ensure a loosely coupled well-encapsulated and interoperable IT ecosystem;
  • Liaise with divisions units and teams within and outside TEC to shape a trustworthy professional and well-governed integration landscape;
  • Define the strategic roadmap for AI integration including the enterprise MCP Gateway the A2A approach and the AI Gateway.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) microservices and interoperability approaches within the WFP ecosystem;
  • Serve as the organizational custodian for integration principles ensuring their adoption and consistent implementation across all corporate services;
  • Foster a healthy community of developers architects and solution designers where knowledge about integrations best practices is exchanged transparently and collaboratively.

Architecture Cloud and Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate in the design and architecture of the corporate WFP API ecosystem and the other types of integrations;
  • Embrace and promote a full cloud-native pipeline-based approach ensuring high technical quality and compliance with WFP standards (architecture security technology stack);
  • Constantly identify opportunities to optimize Integration Services components in terms of costs resiliency scalability and response times;
  • Oversee the cloud hosting / IPaaS landscape to ensure proper robust secure and resilient service delivery;
  • Guide WFP development teams on how to design and implement their integration interfaces to deliver maximum value for the organization.

Security and Observability

  • Work with IT Security to review monitor and control integration points through a professionally designed and operated observability layer;
  • Ensure adherence to the rugged software manifesto principles across all integration development activities;
  • Support the Vulnerability Management framework led by TECI across the Integration Services infrastructure;
  • Regularly review audit and test the security compliance of the Integration Services components and integration touchpoints.

Developer Experience and Knowledge Management

  • Write and maintain enterprise-grade technical documentation for the Integration Services portfolio ensuring quality accuracy and comprehensive coverage;
  • Champion the API-first principle and promote mastery of the OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specifications across developer communities;
  • Provide support to developers and product owners in the consumption of corporate APIs and enhance the accessibility and adherence to industry standards of the API Gateway;
  • Deliver training developer guides and onboarding materials on integration capabilities reducing time-to-market and enabling autonomous consumption of the Digital Core.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education: A bachelor university degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of international professional experience in enterprise IT with a strong focus on integration architecture API management and digital platform governance. At least 5 years in coordination or leadership capacity over multidisciplinary technical teams.

Proven track record combining strategic and hands-on experience including:

  • Enterprise integration strategy: definition governance and evolution of integration patterns and standards across complex IT landscapes.
  • Stakeholder engagement and advisory: ability to translate technical complexity into actionable guidance for diverse audiences (developers architects product owners senior management).

Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrated expertise in integration methodologies and enterprise architecture practices

  • Deep expertise in API lifecycle management REST API design mediation monitoring and governance
  • Strong knowledge of integration platforms (including IPaaS) API gateways and enterprise integration technologies
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing SOA microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specification standards
  • Proven experience managing complex cloud environments and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficiency in data integration and pipeline implementation methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles DevOps practices and Git-based version control workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and managing cross-functional delivery teams.

A high degree of autonomy strategic thinking and self-management is required. The incumbent is expected to independently identify challenges propose solutions and drive initiatives escalating to senior management for endorsement on matters of organizational scope.
