Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivatedInstallation Engineer.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in Italy.

Accountabilities

• Identifycontract requirements in terms of equipment and cableways installation design andmonitortheir compliancewithinthe assigned Project.
• DesignCoordinate and verify the installation design of the main railway systems technologies (Signalling Power Supply and Traction PowerOverhead Contact LineTelecommunications Automatic Fare Collection Security/Surveillance Public Address etc.) ensuring itscompliancewith the contract system requirements and local regulations.
• Designcoordinateand verify the cableways layout and cable routeswithin technical rooms and along the track system managing filling ratios challenging existing pathways and proposing new ones.
• Cooperate with BIM Manager and BIM Coordinator in the definition of all required information to defineequipmentBIM models based on the target level of developmentidentifiedin the BIM Execution Plan.
• Prepareattendor chair clash detection resolution and seek resolution ofclashes amongRailway technologies.
• Ensure the application of quality procedures for document issuance at every stage of design.
• Identifycritical issues in project development and propose mitigation actions.
• Represent the installation engineering team and support design choices with the client.

• Proficiently use BIM and CAD software for interface definition and management as part of the project delivery strategy according to the Engineering Management Plan.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• 5 to 10 years of experience intechnologies installation design preferablywithin the Railway Engineering context as per theaccountabilitiesdescription.
• Site surveying activity on installationworksor existing infrastructures to gatherinformationto complete installation design.
• Identifyunderstandand overcome installation challenges during design development.
• Size pathways and racewaysconsideringexisting conditions.
• Familiarity with Requirement Traceability Matrix and Interface Registers tools.
• Technicalmanagement of subcontractors
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changes in a project environment.
• Proficientin Autodesk AutoCAD Revit Navisworks
• Knowledge of Common Data environment tools for BIM processes.
• Previousconstruction experience will beconsidered asa plus.

Education/Qualifications

• CivilEngineering/Building Engineering/ArchitectureDegree

Languages

• English fluent.
• Italian proficiency.

Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per lindustria metalmeccanica privata e linstallazione di impianti con inquadramento nel livello B2 ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale. Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 36.000 e 48.000.
