Infection Prevention & Control Practitioner
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention & Control Practitioner to develop implement and monitor infection prevention strategies across a specialized cardiovascular hospital. The role plays a critical part in reducing healthcare-associated infections and ensuring compliance with national and international infection control standards.
Conduct infection surveillance activities.
Investigate healthcare-associated infections.
Develop infection prevention policies and procedures.
Monitor compliance with hand hygiene and isolation precautions.
Perform infection control audits.
Deliver infection prevention education and training.
Analyze infection trends and prepare reports.
Support accreditation and quality improvement initiatives.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Infection Prevention certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
Experience in infection prevention and control.
Cardiac hospital experience is preferred.
Knowledge of infection surveillance and epidemiology.
Data analysis and reporting skills.
Policy development and implementation.
Staff education and training abilities.
