POSITION
Title:HSE Supervisor (Health Safety & Environment)

CONTEXT & OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking experiencedHSE Supervisors to support shipyard operations at CMHI in Nantong one of Chinas leading shipbuilding facilities. This position offers the opportunity to operate in a complex and dynamic environment applying international HSE standards in a shipyard construction context.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required Experience
- Minimum 57 yearsin HSE supervision in complex sites (preferably shipyard heavy infrastructure onshore/offshore oil&gas or renewable energy)
- Consolidated experience inconstruction siteswith high safety standards
- Familiarity withinternational regulatory frameworks(ISO 45001 IMCA IOSH or equivalents)
- Proven experience intoolbox talks risk assessments incident investigation
Technical Competencies
- In-depth knowledge ofHSE proceduresandsafety protocolsin critical industrial environments
- Ability to conductaudits inspections near-miss reporting
- Experience withHSEQ management systems(SAP Maximo or similar)
- Competence inemergency response planningandcrisis management
Soft Skills
- Multicultural communication ability to interface with international and local teams
- Leadership ability to influence safety behaviors and culture
- Problem-solving proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
- Documentation & reporting precision in report writing and compliance documentation
Language Requirements
- Fluent English

Supervision & Compliance
- Ensure compliance withinternational HSE standardsandlocal regulatory requirements(CNOOC CNPC China Classification Society where applicable)
- Coordinatedaily safety briefingsandtoolbox talkswith multidisciplinary teams
- Conductsystematic site inspectionsandcontinuous risk assessments
Incident Management
- Investigatenear-misses and incidents prepareroot cause analysis (RCA)
- Implementcorrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintainincident logand reporting dashboard
Training & Engagement
- SupportHSE onboardingfor new personnel
- Facilitatesafety awareness campaignsandbehavioral safety programs
- Coordinate withCA Safety Coachingfor implementation of proprietary methodologies
Documentation & Reporting
- MaintainHSE records permits certificationsup-to-date
- Prepareweekly/monthly HSE reportsfor management and client
- Managecompliance documentationandaudit trails
Operational Coordination
- Interface withSite Manager Engineering QA/QC teams
- SupportHSE procurement(PPE safety equipment monitoring devices)
- Collaborate withlocal authoritiesandregulatory bodiesfor inspections and permits
