Fellowship with the Human Resources Division - Technology and Analytics Branch in Rome Italy
from September 2026to April 2027
WFPs HRMOI team is launching a global project to harmonize and future-proof its HR Management of Information (MOI) capabilities. The Fellow will support this initiative by mapping and redesign global HR processes clarifying ownership models dependencies interfaces and identifying inefficiencies across HQ Regional Bureaux and Country Offices. The role will also support service design efforts to ensure streamlined workflows aligned with enterprise systems like Workday & SAP payroll and consistent while efficient delivery across the organization.
Accountabilities:
Map current HR processes across key domains (e.g. recruiting position management work-force planning)
Support development of the global HR capability map (L1-L3) exceptionally L4 & 5
Analyze ownership/accountability and identify overlaps or bottlenecks
Engage with field and HQ units to document process narratives and local adaptations
Contribute to designing TO-BE workflows aligned with Workday and enterprise architecture
Assist in creating process improvement recommendations for implementation
Deliverables at the end of the assignment:
Documented AS-IS HR capability/process maps with ownership insights
Proposed TO-BE process workflows aligned with enterprise tools e.g. (Workday SAP)
Consolidated inventory mapped to HR Processes & Services e.g. on (Confluence Bizagi Visio)
Products & Services insights on re-design addressing pain points
Contributions to transition roadmap and internal presentations
Interface with IT fellows on:
HR data flow documentation and integration recommendations
Contributions to digital architecture roadmap and knowledge products
Processes bottlenecks and reccomendations
TIME (tolerate integrate migrate eliminate) system analysis report review with actionable insights
The Fellow will benefit from specific career opportunities through the experience and skills that she/he will have gained during the assignment as well as the increasing responsibilities that she/he will carry out. She/he will have access to the WFP e-Learning platform Welearn and will agree with its supervisor on a learning plan.
Qualifications
Masters studentin Business Process Managmeent HR Management Organizational Development or Public Administration.
Fluency in English
Intermediate level of one or more of the following official languages (French Spanish Arabic Chinese Russian) plus Portuguese and/or Italian is desirable
ITIL Six sigma Workday SAP Oracle Payroll
Familiarity with organizational governance and process documentation tools
Knowledge or Experience in HR service delivery shared services or lean process improvement
