Position Overview
We are looking for a Firmware Test and Product Test Engineer who is excited to work at the heart of SSD this role you will define and test strategies to validate SSD firmware for datacenter applications working closely with product development teams to ensure robust coverage of product requirements. You will also work in an engineering environment supported by a growing set of AI-enabled develop and verification tools. Come and join us!

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop known grey-box and closed system validation tests for SSD firmware used in datacenter applications.
• Partner with firmware hardware and product development teams to translate product requirements into effective and scalable validation coverage.
• Create execute and analyze test plans that verify functionality quality and reliability across the SSD development lifecycle with a strong focus on identifying firmware issues and improving overall product robustness.
• Use C Python and automation frameworks to accelerate firmware bug finding support debug and root-cause analysis and collaborate closely with the firmware team to drive effective issue resolution and continuous improvement of validation methodologies.
• Take advantage of AI-supported development and validation tools to speed up test creation and contribute to industry-leading storage solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Computer Engineering Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven programming skills in C and Python.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel including international and intercontinental business trips as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in product development validation verification or product testing is highly valued.
• Strong Python skills for test development automation and data-driven problem solving.
• Knowledge of SSD architecture storage concepts and related protocols is a strong plus.

The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is:

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed oneach job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salariesof the position. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors including knowledge skills experience tenure and relevanteducation or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the position.
