The eBeam technology represents a major breakthrough in packaging sterilisation enabling high-speed production reduced operational costs and significant reductions in the use of chemicals water and energy. We are looking for talented people across multiple areasDevelopment Engineering Production and Supplier Managementto help drive the evolution of our eBeam system for todays and tomorrows filling equipment.
The Senior Engineer for High-Voltage Systems & Firmware is responsible for the design integration and lifecycle management of highvoltage generators power supplies embedded firmware and sensor technologies supporting production installation and long-term reliability. The role acts as the technical owner for key suppliers ensures robust integration into filling machines and production systems and provides expert support to validation rigs and production teams.
This is a permanent position based in Modena-Italy. For knowledge transfer from Flamatt site travel to Switzerland is required at the beginning of the assignment.
In the new role as Automation Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:
High-Voltage Generators & Power Supply Systems
- Technical owner of eHVO highvoltage generators for the CCI (communication connection to the power supply).
- Serve as Technical Responsible / Technical Owner for highvoltage generator platform including supplier interface and issue resolution.
- Manage integration of eHVO generators into filling machines and production systems.
- Maintain and update the database of generator configurations and lifecycle records from production to installation.
- Provide support for the LTTR rig in Lund including troubleshooting and generator functionality validation.
Power Supply Management
- Overall responsibility for power supplies used in eBeam production.
- Technical responsible for power supplies used for production and applications out of our field of businness.
Firmware & Software Development
- Design development and maintenance of firmware and software for: eHVO generators Kits and other integration needs.
- Ownership of software and firmware modifications in production tools including
Sensor Technology & Reliability
- Responsible for sensor development.
Additional
- Lead innovation projects and integration of technologies
- Facilitate creation of technology roadmap.
- Write V&V for technologies project and run test rigs for internal testing.
- Interact with production to support production continuity and improvements
- Degree in engineering automation. A PhD and/or 3 years experience in industry will be preferred.
- Strong expertise in highvoltage systems power electronics or electrical engineering.
- Experience with embedded firmware development (C/C or equivalent).
- Supplier management and technical ownership experience.
- Familiarity with industrial production equipment and integration processes.
- Experienced designer of analog sensor circuits and in doing layouts for PCB with Altium
- Knowledge in design of EMC compliant boards and testing
- Experienced to work with EMS
- Programming languages C C C# Python
- Frameworks Keil STM32 Microchip
- Familiar with unit tests robot framework UML (Enterprise Architect)
- Familiar with git gitlab ci/cd jira confluence
- Strong background of electronics communication protocols
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken is required.
- Availability to travel up to 40% for the first two years
- High sense of discipline attention to details ability to motivate a team high level of negotiation skills creative adaptable self-motivated and results oriented.
