FD Group a Consulting Company specialised in the Automotive & Industrial Machinery sector operating in Italy and abroad is looking for a professional to join its team as CMF Designer Automotive in Gothenburg to be deployed at a client company in the automotive sector based in Sweden:
Main Responsibilities:
Definition and development of CMF (Colour Material Finish) concepts for vehicle interior and exterior in line with the clients styling vision and brand positioning
Research and analysis of market trends innovative materials and manufacturing processes applicable to the automotive context
Selection and development of colour palettes materials and finishes including technical and production feasibility assessment in collaboration with suppliers
Creation of samples mood boards and CMF documentation to support concept and product development phases
Collaboration with Design Engineering and Purchasing teams to ensure CMF consistency throughout the vehicle development process
Management and updating of the materials and finishes library ensuring traceability and compliance with the clients quality standards
Support in the presentation and validation of CMF concepts with internal stakeholders
Adherence to project milestones and client-defined technical requirements
Requirements:
Degree in Industrial Design Product Design Fashion Design or related disciplines with a CMF specialisation
Proven experience in CMF design activities in the automotive sector or in related industries (consumer electronics luxury industrial design)
Strong knowledge of materials manufacturing processes and finishes applicable to the automotive context (plastics fabrics leathers metals paints)
Ability to read and interpret market trends and translate them into product-applicable concepts
Proficiency in presentation and visualisation tools (Adobe Creative Suite KeyShot or equivalent)
Ability to produce CMF technical documentation (colour books material specification sheets finish standards)
Good command of written and spoken English (essential requirement for working in an international environment)
Availability to work on-site at the clients premises in Gothenburg Sweden
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments
Knowledge of the Swedish language
Familiarity with colour and material development processes in pre-series and series phases
Experience collaborating with international suppliers for material development and validation
