We are seeking aSoftwareEngineer to join our CAD Automation team within a leading Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer specializing in turbomachinery (turbines compressors and related components). This role is pivotal in developing deploying andmaintainingadvanced CAD automation solutions that accelerate the design of complex mechanical components and assemblies.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical design fundamentals with programmingexpertiseand a passion for digital engineering and process optimization.

AsCADSoftwareEngineeryou willbe responsible for:

  • Developingparametric CAD modelsand draftingfor turbomachinery components (e.g. shafts impellers blades valves baseplate).

  • Implementingandmaintaindesign automation tools using CAD APIs (e.g. NX Open)

  • Supportingdeployment of new automation releases andmanageversioning and documentation.

  • Troubleshootingandoptimizeexisting CAD tools to improve performance reliability and user experience.

  • Integratingautomation workflows with PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)ensuringdata consistency and compliance with internal standards.

  • Collaboratingwith cross-functional teams (design manufacturing R&D) to translate engineering requirements into automated solutions.

  • Documentingtechnical solutionscreatinguser manuals and deliveringtraining sessions for internal stakeholders.

  • Contributingto digital transformation initiatives including model-based definition (MBD) and design standardization.

  • Providingfunctional support to final users analyzing rootcausesandapplyingcorrective actions

Fuel your passion
Tobe successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelors orMasters degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related field.

  • Proficiencyin 3D CAD software (e.g. Siemens NX Creo SolidWorks).

  • Experience with CAD automation and scripting

  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and turbomachinery components.

  • Knowledge of drafting standards GD&T and tolerance analysis.

  • Fluent in EnglishandItalian

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
