Primary Functions: To support the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting financial analysis forecasting and modeling to assess business performance and investment opportunities
Preparing reports presentations and projections for senior management or clients
Evaluating current and historical financial data to determine company value and investment potential
Studying business industry and economic trends to inform strategic planning
Assisting with budgeting variance analysis and financial planning processes
Performing ad-hoc analyses and providing recommendations for portfolios or individual investments
Qualifications/Training:
Bachelors degree in Accounting
3-5 years automated accounting experience.
Advanced MS Excel experience
Able to handle high volume of transactions
Month end and year end journal entries
Prior experience at a manufacturing company is beneficial
Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Must be computer literate and have some working knowledge of a general accounting systems
Must have the ability to read write and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision and depth perception.
Hand-eye coordination.
Experience (PLUS )
Prior Great Plains (ERP) experience preferred Prior audit experience
Cost Accounting exposure / experience
