Transport Operations Specialist

Perform Recruitment is looking for an experienced Transport Operations Specialist on behalf of a leading logistics company based in Lusk Co. Dublin. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with both day and night shifts available ideal for a transport professional ready to take ownership of a busy high-performing operation.

About the role

You will be a central coordination point across the full transport function working alongside planners drivers customers and depot teams to keep operations running smoothly safely and on time. This is a hands-on varied role with real impact from day one.

What youll be doing

• Supporting daily planning and execution of transport schedules
• Monitoring vehicle movements and managing short-notice changes and delays
• Assisting with route optimisation and resource utilisation
• Acting as the key point of contact for drivers during live operations
• Ensuring full compliance with drivers hours working time rules and RSA regulations
• Liaising with workshop and fleet teams on vehicle availability
• Communicating with customers on collections deliveries and service issues
• Updating Transport Management Systems (TMS) and maintaining accurate records
• Tracking KPIs including on-time delivery and fleet utilisation
• Supporting POD invoicing audits and incident reporting

What were looking for

• Previous experience in a transport or logistics operations role essential
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
• Confident communicator with solid problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of Irish/EU transport regulations an advantage
• Experience with TMS or fleet management systems an advantage
• Background in haulage logistics or distribution desirable
• Proactive calm under pressure and detail-oriented
