Trading Reference Data Specialist
Job Summary
You will join the Static Data team within the Enterprise Software Systems (ESS) group responsible for managing and supporting the reference data used by Susquehannas trading systems.
This is a production-facing role focused on ensuring the accuracy availability and integrity of trading data across front office post-trade and quantitative systems.
A key part of the role is acting as a first line of support for trading-related data issues requiring a strong understanding of how reference data flows through systems and impacts trading activity.
You will work closely with traders developersquants and operations to resolve issues onboard new data and ensure systemsremainaligned with market and exchange changes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Data Ownership
- Act as first line support for issues related to trading reference data
- Investigate and resolve data issuesimpactingtrading and downstream systems
- Take ownership of data quality and ensure accuracy across all environments
- Understand and manage the impact of data changes on trading workflows
- Reference Data Management
- Maintain instrument definitions pricing data and corporate actions
- Validate andmonitordata from external vendors (e.g.Bloombergexchanges)
- Ensure consistency and correctness of data across systems
Data Onboarding & Change Management
- Onboard new trading venues brokers and financial instruments
- Analysevendor and exchange changes (e.g.symbology tick sizes trading rules)
- Coordinate updates with development teams and ensure smooth rollout
Stakeholder Interaction
- Work closely with traders operations and developers to support trading activity
- Communicate clearly on issues changes and data impacts
- Provide guidance on reference databehaviourand system expectations
- At least 5 years of experience in financial services trading support or reference data roles
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and trading workflows
- Working knowledge of SQL &/orpython relationaldatabasesand querying/updating database tables.
- Ability to multi-task meet deadlinesfamiliarwith high volumes of datachangesand prioritize workloads.
- Experience working with market data vendors (Bloomberg Exchanges etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability tooperatein a production environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
