Job Summary:
As a Technical Trainer II at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will contribute to developing and delivering effective learning solutions that enable our mission of making the world healthier cleaner and safer. You will partner with business leaders to design implement and evaluate comprehensive training programs that drive operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance. Working in a dynamic collaborative environment you will deliver training to new employees in the following areas: basic laboratory systemsstudy conduct technical procedures and proper laboratory procedures.
You will collaborate with project and program leaders todesign deliver and continuously improve learning programs products and services that support our GMPlaboratory operations in Athlone. Your work will directly impact employee development operational effectiveness and ultimately customer success through improved quality and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Presenting and facilitating new employee orientation sessions to introduce GMPprinciples laboratory expectations and quality standards.
- Training laboratory staff on the set up use basic troubleshooting and datainterpretation for NEOP modules and techniques such as HPLC osmolality appearance etc. including the data acquisition systems.
- Designing developing and implementing training modules and training materials.
- Managing learning management system activities tracking metrics and ensuring training compliance.
- You will collaborate across functions to identify knowledge gaps implement solutions and drive continuous improvement of training programs.
- Developing proficiency in new technology software and processes to enable developmentand support of training and business initiatives.
- Collaborating with project teams and functional leaders to plan coordinate
document and deliver learning solutions that enhance technical competency
ensure GMP compliance and support business and regulatory objectives. - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale projects that
advance learning program maturity strengthen training effectiveness and
optimize departmental processes in alignment with GMP and corporate quality
expectations. - Partnering with system administrators and quality teams to ensure training records
curricula and course materials are current compliant and properly catalogued
within electronic learning systems. - Performing special projects and administrative duties to support department goals
training system enhancements and site quality initiatives - The role requires strong project management abilities excellent communication skills and dedication to helping others learn and develop.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 2 years of experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulated industry)
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures systems processes documentation and analyticalinstrumentation including data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of laboratory requirements SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Ability to review advanced analytical data for accuracy completeness and compliance withregulatory requirements
- Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite virtual training delivery platforms and
various learning design and development software - Effective ability to query compile enter track and maintain data and records management systems
- Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills to deliver high-quality work within projecttimelines
- Effective ability to deliver learning products services and solutions in a collaborative and crossfunctional global environment with an understanding of the user perspective
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
