Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Reporting Business Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will partner with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality reporting analytics and data solutions.
The role combines business analysis data analysis and reporting expertise to define requirements improve reporting processes and ensure data quality across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting analytics and data requirements across the mortgage portfolio.
- Elicit analyse document and validate business and functional requirements for reporting and data initiatives.
- Collaborate with technology data engineering and reporting teams to design and deliver scalable reporting solutions.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends opportunities and potential data quality issues.
- Develop detailed business requirements process maps user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support the design and implementation of dashboards management information and operational reporting.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate consistent and aligned with business definitions and governance standards.
- Work with data owners to improve data quality integrity and consistency across reporting assets.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and technical stakeholders to agree priorities and solution approaches.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including preparation of test scenarios execution and defect management.
- Assist with change management activities user documentation and knowledge transfer where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within reporting analytics and business processes.
Qualifications :
Skills and Experience
Essential
- 5 years proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering reporting or data-focused projects.
- Experience working within financial services banking or mortgage servicing environments.
- Strong understanding of reporting management information (MI) and business intelligence principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced delivery environment.
Desirable
- Experience working with mortgage portfolios or loan servicing platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting within financial services.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
