Technical Architect Windows Infrastructure

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to support a major Windows upgrade and technology transformation initiative. This role will play a key part in delivering operating system and platform upgrades implementing security hardening standards and supporting collaboration technology initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine strong infrastructure architecture expertise with deep experience in Windows environments identity management security controls and enterprise technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Windows operating system upgrade initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Design and implement server hardening standards through Group Policy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising from operating system upgrades security controls and policy implementations.
• Provide technical architecture guidance and support for infrastructure and end-user computing projects.
• Design and support identity and access management solutions leveraging Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Collaborate with technical teams project stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver infrastructure improvements.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and future collaboration platform initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with security governance and operational standards.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation architecture artefacts and implementation plans.
• Support testing deployment and transition-to-service activities.

Qualifications :

Required Experience

• Proven experience delivering Windows Operating System upgrade projects in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with server hardening and Group Policy implementation.
• Experience troubleshooting issues relating to Windows upgrades security policies and infrastructure changes.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience working in large complex technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Fluent English language skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Experience supporting collaboration and workplace technology initiatives.
• Exposure to enterprise transformation or modern workplace programmes.
• Experience working within regulated or highly governed environments.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications or infrastructure architecture qualifications.
