Due to continued growth our client is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineer to take ownership of a high-performing design team and lead the civil and structural design function across a growing portfolio of renewables and power infrastructure work.

Off the back of continued success and a growing project pipeline our client is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineer to lead their design team and act as the primary technical authority for civil and structural design across the portfolio.

As Team Lead you will lead manage and mentor a team of civil and structural design engineers fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. You will oversee the delivery of civil and structural design packages including foundations access roads drainage cable routes substation civil works and associated infrastructure while reviewing and approving the design documentation calculations drawings and specifications produced by your team and ensuring all outputs meet the relevant Irish and international codes and standards.

You will coordinate closely with electrical planning and construction teams to ensure integrated constructible design solutions and manage design programme resource allocation and quality assurance across multiple concurrent projects. Acting as a senior technical representative you will engage with clients statutory bodies and third-party consultants support business development through technical input into tenders and proposals and uphold the clients commitment to safety with particular attention to CDM obligations and design risk management.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) with Chartered status (Engineers Ireland / ICE) desirable and a minimum of 8 years experience in civil/structural design including at least 2 years in a team lead or senior role. You will bring proven experience delivering civil/structural design on utility-scale renewables power infrastructure or similar projects proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent) and strong knowledge of Irish and European design standards (Eurocodes IS standards). Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential along with a full clean driving licence.
