Are you an accurate and quality orientated technician seeking a role within an organisation where the work you do will really make a difference
We are looking for a self-motivated Systems Technician educated to HNC level or with equivalent experience in electrical and electronic engineering to work as part of our Technical Operations Team to cover Ireland. This role will involve supporting our customers and patients across three main sites Kilkenny Limerick and Ennis. As a result youll need to be based within easy reach of this area to provide effective on-site support.
We require somebody who is used to a fast-paced environment customer focused and able to build good working relationships with both internal colleagues and our customers. Ideally we would like you to come from a background of working in a medical devices environment or in servicing medical equipment and have a natural emphasis on continual improvement.
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours. This role requires regular travel across Southern Ireland and therefore a full driving licence is essential.
What does the role involve
You will:
- Ensure that all reactive customer support installation and evaluation requirements are completed in line with FME policies and procedures.
- Maximise up time of machines by performing high quality standard and reactive service work within contracted timescales.
- Ensure that all FME Lean Service initiatives processes and tools are observed and applied as directed.
- Complete all required service documentation and ensure reports are accurate clear and submitted in a timely manner
- Assist in the implementation of technical upgrades of equipment and modifications.
- Oversee and participate in the acceptance and commissioning of new business awards.
Your Profile:
- HNC (or equivalent experience) inElectrical/ElectronicEngineering; strong MS Office skills
- Experience with electromechanical systems in a regulated customer-facing environment (medical/NHS/HSE desirable)
- Self-motivated detail-oriented organised and able to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and ability to read technical schematics
- Full driving licence; flexible for travel on-call rota overtime and occasional overnight stays
