Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both Domestic and Overseas candidates across Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care settings.

We are currently seeking a Surgical ICU Nurse for our client hospital in Dublin Ireland.


Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill post-surgical patients.
  • Monitor vital signs neurological status and respiratory function.
  • Care for ventilated and intubated patients.
  • Administer IV medications blood products and emergency drugs.
  • Manage patients after major surgeries
  • Perform wound care infection prevention and pain management.
  • Respond rapidly to emergencies and deteriorating patients.
  • Maintain accurate ICU documentation and nursing records.
  • Collaborate with surgeons anaesthetists physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support and educate patients and their families.


Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse qualification.
  • NMBI registration or eligibility for registration.
  • BSc Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years recent ICU/Critical Care experience.
  • Experience in Surgical ICU General ICU or Trauma ICU preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ventilator management Critical care monitoring Emergency response Post-operative care
  • Strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced ICU environments.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • ACLS/BLS certification desirable
