As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Providing safe high-quality and person-centred nursing care.
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring patients clinical conditions.
- Developing implementing and reviewing individualised care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments safely in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Recognising and escalating changes in patients conditions appropriately.
- Supporting patients throughout admission treatment transfer and discharge.
- Maintaining accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Following infection prevention and control procedures and clinical guidelines.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Participating in the supervision mentoring and development of nursing students and colleagues where appropriate.
- Maintaining professional competence and keeping up to date with current clinical practices.
- Working in accordance with NMBI Scope of Practice hospital policies and professional standards.

Required Skills:
Registered General Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) holding an active licence in good standing. Minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience preferred. Previous experience in Oncology nursing is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Shows motivation adaptability and an innovative approach to clinical practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely. Demonstrates awareness and understanding of change management within a healthcare environment.
