We are hiring a Staff Nurse Theatre for a hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice in accordance with hospital policies procedures legal requirements and NMBI standards

  • Deliver safe effective and efficient nursing care from admission to discharge

  • Complete accurate nursing assessments care plans and clinical documentation

  • Communicate patient information effectively using ISBAR during handovers and escalations

  • Liaise and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and hospital departments

  • Maintain accurate confidential patient records using approved documentation standards

  • Comply with medication management policies including safekeeping of controlled drugs

  • Perform IV cannulation in line with hospital policy

  • Demonstrate professional compassionate care aligned with hospital values

  • Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations

  • Work independently and take charge in the absence of CNM II

  • Exercise sound clinical judgment and escalate concerns appropriately

  • Follow established lines of authority and reporting

  • Manage stock control and ensure adequate departmental supplies

  • Mentor and support student nurses and new staff

  • Promote evidence-based nursing practice and quality improvement

  • Support hospital accreditation and quality initiatives including data collection

  • Deputise for CNMs and assist with staff planning and delegation




  • Requirements
    • Be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current professional registration.

    • Have completed a relevant Theatre Nursing course.

    • Have a minimum of 1 year of Theatre Nursing experience.

    • Demonstrate experience working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment.

    • IT skills are desirable.

    • Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification which is mandatory for all Nurses.
