We are currently recruiting a Staff Nurse Oncology Day Unit for a hospital in Galway Ireland.
Location: Galway Ireland
Responsibilities
Deliver safe compassionate and patient-centred nursing care to patients undergoing oncology treatments
Assess patients clinical needs and develop implement and evaluate individualised care plans
Safely administer and monitor oncology treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and established guidelines
Monitor patients throughout treatment and recognise manage and escalate any adverse reactions or changes in clinical condition
Provide education information and emotional support to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective coordination and continuity of patient care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation care records and treatment-related information
Promote infection prevention and control medication safety and compliance with relevant clinical policies and procedures
Contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical practice patient safety and quality improvement within the Oncology Day Ward
Support a welcoming and respectful environment that promotes patient dignity comfort and overall wellbeing
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Previous experience in oncology nursing is highly desirable
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality compassionate and patient-centred care
Genuine interest in developing and advancing clinical skills and knowledge in oncology nursing

Required Skills:
