We are currently hiring Staff Nurse-Day ward to join a reputed hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe effective and patient-centred nursing care to patients attending the Day Ward in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop implement and evaluate individualised care plans based on patient needs.
- Prepare monitor and support patients before during and after procedures ensuring comfort safety and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate timely and confidential patient records and clinical documentation in line with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the safe administration and management of medications while adhering to clinical guidelines protocols and medication safety standards.
- Recognise assess and respond promptly to patient deterioration emergency situations and changes in clinical condition.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with medical staff allied health professionals patients families and multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care delivery.
- Participate in discharge planning patient education and health promotion activities to support positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives clinical audits accreditation activities and the maintenance of high standards of patient care and safety.
- Provide mentorship guidance and support to junior nursing staff and student nurses and assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager when required.
- Be registered as a General Nurse on the live register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Possess a minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience within an acute hospital setting.
- Previous experience in a Day Ward Surgical Ward or similar acute care environment is desirable.
- Demonstrate excellent communication interpersonal organisational and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high standards of care.
- Show a strong commitment to delivering safe high-quality and patient-centred nursing care.
- Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain competency in emergency response procedures.
- Possess good IT clinical documentation and record-management skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility professionalism and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
